FRAME Type 1 2017This project is an Envisioning collaboration design between @yeongkyu_yoo and a partner company. Through an object-driven structure and material-based interaction, it proposes an audio experience that conveys playback status through sensory cues.
The 6mm aluminum frame exposes the engine and turns the device into a single structural object. The circular display gives the content presence—like a place where an album can sit—while the rotating motion communicates playback at a glance and adds a sensorial rhythm to the listening experience. The machined solid-aluminum circular dial is not about “operating” a control; it delivers the feel of resistance and inertia the moment you turn it. The 40mm-deep transparent mass LED holds light within, extending into spatial feedback and a soft ambient glow.
